What Are Funnels? Do You Need One?:
A sales funnel is a marketing concept that maps out the journey a customer goes through when making any kind of purchase. The model uses a funnel as an analogy because a large number of potential customers may begin at the top-end of the sales process, but only a fraction of these people actually end up making a purchase.
Pro Tip: Funnels Convert Much Better Than Regular Websites:
No matter how simple or complex, the fact is sales funnels work when they’re built according to certain universal principles. Case in point:
- 87% of consumers choose to do business with vendors who provide valuable content at all stages of the buying process
- 63% of consumers need to hear a company’s value proposition(s) 3-5 times before they trust these claims
- Nurtured leads make 47% larger purchases than non-nurtured prospects
The reason being: they’re just simpler in design and they take the visitor on a step-by-step journey where on each page they only have one option!
There aren’t any menus around, no navigation for anything, it’s just the one button to continue (purchase, enter email, etc.) or they leave.
As a prospect passes through each stage of the funnel, it signifies a deeper commitment to the purchase goal. Most businesses, whether online or conventional, use this model to guide their efforts in each stage of the sales funnel. So the answer is you definitely need a sales funnel, let’s take a look at the funnel steps.
The 4 Basic Sales Funnel Stages:
- Awareness
- Interest
- Decision
- Action
Awareness (Blogging)
The prospect learns about your existing solution, product, or service. They might also become aware of the problems that they need to solve and the possible ways to deal with them.
This is when they visit your website for the first time, which they found from an ad, Google search, a post shared on social media, or another traffic source.
Interest (lead magnets, opt-in page)
The prospect is actively looking for solutions to their problems and ways to achieve their goals.
They search for solutions on Google. This is when you can attract them with some great content.
Now is the time when he expresses his interest in your product or service. He follows you on social media and subscribes to your list.
Decision
The prospect is making the decision that he wants to take advantage of your solution.
They are paying more attention to what you offer, including different packages and options, so he can make the final decision to purchase.
This is when sales offers are made by using sales pages, webinars, calls, etc.
Action
The prospect is becoming a customer by finalizing the deal with you.
They’re signing the contract and clicking the purchase button.
Then the money is transferred to your bank account.
It’s important to state that there might be additional stages to your sales funnel. Your interaction with a customer doesn’t end with a successful stage.
Opt-In Page – What is ClickFunnels:
Opt-in pages, formerly referred to as subscribe pages, are webpages where your patrons can “opt-in” to receive library communications, like newsletters or promotional emails that your library sends to specific interest groups.

Bridge Page:
A bridge page is a webpage that comes after a capture page but before the sales page.
After they’ve submitted their email through your opt-in page they’re taken to the bridge page (or thank you page)
The reason it’s called a “bridge page” is that it bridges the gap between the lead (customer) and the product, service, or software you’re promoting.
It is a powerful conversion booster that every good marketer must use in his or her online marketing efforts.
Front End Offer – ClickFunnels Review:
A low-price and low-risk offer that provides value to new customers, allowing them to solve surface-level issues with minimal investment.
Once your prospective customers have taken you up on your bait offer, you’ll want to send them directly to a landing page or squeeze page showcasing your “leveled” premium offer. (You can also — and should — simultaneously follow up with email offers; a practice known as “funnel stacking.”)
Here’s where the stakes get a bit higher for your business …
Those who see this sales-focused content have been pre-qualified (via your bait offer) — meaning they should be interested in the premium product or service you have for them at this point.
That is if you’re able to keep their attention and effectively communicate the true value of your offer. You can make this happen by optimizing the various elements of your squeeze page …
How does ClickFunnels Work?
When you sign up with ClickFunnels you have a free trial, where you can start building your first funnel right away to try out the program.
Once you hit the button to start your 14-day free trial, then you will create an account and once you sign in you go to your dashboard.
Ok, so you are now ready to build your first funnel, hit the green button to build a funnel.
If you are starting just hit collect emails, so you can start building your email list.
Next screen tells you to name your funnel
After you name your funnel, I just named it test you will see it is building your funnel next.
Once you select the template that you think will work for you, you will be able to edit the text of the opt-in and thank you pages on the next steps.
This will be your opt-in page and it shows the URL of the page right above the template. You can hit the edit page button and you will be able to change the text, pictures and anything else on the page without affecting the URL on top. Once you edit the page and are satisfied with the outcome you hit the thank you page tab on the left. Next, it will load the thank you page (normally this is the page that you redirect to the offer that you want to promote)
Now just pick the template you like for the thank you page
Once you have designed your thank you page, you can then redirect your customers to the offer page that you are interested in promoting, whether from Clickbank, warrior plus or jvzoo. When you get the link from the product I will pick one from Clickbank just for this example.
One Funnel Away Challenge – What is it?:
What is the One Funnel Away Challenge? The One Funnel Away Challenge is a 30-day training that guides you step by step on launching your first (or next) funnel. The course is provided by your three coaches. Russell Brunson, Julie Stoian, and Stephen Larsen.

Funnel building is simple
As I’ve already mentioned, it’s easy to put together a funnel from start to finish using ClickFunnels.
As a tech noob, I was apprehensive about using ClickFunnels when I first signed up. But I was able to design and set up my first sales funnel without a lot of stress.
In fact, it was so intuitive that I got it right the first time and I still use the same funnel I designed on my first day. I have looked into alternatives but none seem to be better than what I initially set up.
High-quality design
Good web design is essential.
Ugly web pages lose visitors and sales.
In fact, people will question a business’s credibility if their website isn’t aesthetic. That means you can have the best product in the world, but if your landing page design is subpar, you’re going to lose your visitors.
But your pages shouldn’t focus purely on design. You must also take into consideration user experience.
Balancing user experience with a killer design is a delicate balancing act, which brings me back to ClickFunnels’ pre-made templates.
Each template has been created with user experience, usability, and design in mind.
You don’t need to worry about losing out on sales due to clunky sales pages (this was one of my big gripes with Shopify).
Another point worth mentioning is that all of ClickFunnels’ pages are optimized for mobile devices and smaller screens.
It’s safe to say that half of your web traffic will come from mobile. If your landing pages aren’t built for all different types of screen sizes, you’ll lose leads and sales.
